"Teachers open the door but you must enter". Twenty five years ago, I entered that door and have not looked back. The joy of Chinese and Japanese painting has enriched my life in so many ways. Underlying the apparent simplicity of composition, there is a philosophy; one that sees a unifying pattern of life in all of nature. The joy of each season, and the wildlife I see is that unifying pattern.
One can never stop learning. Thus, I am now the student learning to paint with acrylics. The beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains is my inspiration and studio. I have much to learn, places to explore and mountains to climb.
